1. The Beginning

In 1990, Daniel Benjano founded OGI Systems in Israel at the beginning of the technological transformation of the diamond industry. At a time when many critical processes were still performed manually, he recognized the potential of advanced imaging and computing to bring greater precision, consistency and efficiency to professional diamond work.

A graduate with honors in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Daniel combined his academic background with optics, mechanics and software to bridge the gap between traditional craftsmanship and computerized technology - creating systems that made measurement, planning and analysis more precise, repeatable and intelligent.

Over the years, this approach expanded into a broad range of technologies, including laser inscription, 3D scanning, imaging, synthetic-diamond detection and artificial intelligence, establishing the foundation for OGI Systems’ continued innovation in the global diamond and jewelry industry.
